How
do I make turnbuckles easier to adjust?
Use beeswax or chapstick on the treads, before screwing
on the ballcaps. The lubrication will make for wsier
adjustment.
How do I make turnbuckles all adjust in
the same direction?
If you use Lunsford turnbuckles they all have a
groove around the nut radius. Install all turnbuckles
with the groove to the left side of the car. This
will allow you to tighten all your turnbuckles with
a wrench pull to the front. If you don't have lunsford
turnbuckles then you have to make make your own
marks on them. You can do this by looking at the
treads and making sure they are all going the same
direction when layed out. Then mark one side of
the turnbuckle. Then install them the same as you
would a Lunsford turnbuckle.
